The Power of Amber

When I had first started my witchy journey, I remember my aunt letting me borrow one of her Wicca books. Now, I cannot remember the name of this book and I’ve tried searching all over the internet but failing. Out of the book I had first read, I remember the mention of Amber and from that, I had to have it. I had asked my mother for something with Amber and she got me a ring. It was either something I read in the Wicca books or maybe it was something my aunt had said, but all I knew was that if I had Amber, I’d be a real witch.

Wearing or using Amber is a natural purifier, helps with mind and spirit by absorbing negative or stagnant energies. For Chakras, Amber is the connected to the Sacral and Solar Plexus Chakras and is also a tool for clearing an environment. The fun facts about Amber is that it’s fossil meaning its a biological product of nature, a resin that oozed from certain trees in prehistoric forests. Wearing Amber as a necklace, bracelet or ring can help ward off negative energies or when recovering from an illness to increase vitality.

There’s also different forms of Amber such as: Baltic, Burmese (burmite), black, cherry, and white amber which have the price range 1$-20$. Then there’s the expensive types of Ambers like: Dominican (10-20$) & Blue Dominican (50-100$).

Even to ground up with honey and rose oil, Amber was said to help combat ear infections and poor eyesight (please always see a doctor first with any sort of health issue or infection. This is in no way a recipe to replace modern medicine). For years and years, Amber was used for luck and used to nullify hexes.

One of these days, I’ll find the book that had somehow convinced me that Amber was the witches gem, but for now I’ll settle for its rich history.
