Candles & Their Uses

White - not only does it represent purity, truth and hope, it’s a candle that can replace any other color or be charged with any intention. It can be used as a representation of yourself during cord cutting spells

Black - Not EVIL! Black represents destroying negative energy and can be used during protection spells. A lot of spells that have to do with renewal, or to be away with bad energy usually use black candles

Red - Love, passion and romance! At least that’s the color a lot of witches use for love spells. It represent other energies such as strength but we all know the main use for it is for the love and passion spells

Orange - For ambition and creativity, it’s another candle that can also be used for fortune spells, more on the career, or certain successes type spells. Other sources say that candles similar to the color orange, like gold and yellow can be used for communication spells (reconnecting with someone) along with creative and writing skills

Yellow - As mentioned above, yellow represents intelligence, learning which can then be used for spells having to do with creative pursuits and even mental blocks to obtain new ideas

Green - Money, money, money. As much as Orange, Gold & Yellow do have the energy for good fortune, nothing means money more than green candle energy. Any spells with money involved, use a green candle

Purple - a candle for mystery, intuition, calling spirits but also business and careers, purple is candle to use! Summoning something? Purple is said to help with the third eye as well

Blue - a candle that represents motherhood, safety, wisdom, protection and calmness. Also in form of forgiveness spells, to reconnect with a friend. Think of using this candle for situations that need forgiveness, calmness and forgiveness too

Pink - Much like its counter color Red, a pink candle is a slight step down from love spells. It’s more about encouraging romance or love, on the flip side of that, can be used for spell with compassion and self-love in mind. Trying to heal from love? A Pink candle might be a better selection for ‘love spells’.

Brown - kind of an odd color to use for spell unless it’s for nature or balance and even stability. Brown also is within the same energies as black so it can used for banishing, harassment and transition. For spells, can be used for ones for dieting or to stop smoking and sometimes into the world of animal spells
